As a customer of your financial institution, I am writing to urge you to take clear action to support the continued operation of the Patrick Labour Hire companies that are presently under administration. The dubious corporate restructuring of those companies and the dismissal of over 1400 stevedoring employees must not be condoned by Australia's financial institutions.

If the banks allow the Labour Hire companies to be put into liquidation, the resulting industrial and economic chaos will do permanent and fundamental damage to the social and economic fabric of Australia. I seek your urgent assurance that this financial institution will play a socially responsible role in relation to this matter, and will not take any action to cause the liquidation of the Labour Hire companies currently employing the MUA members at Patrick-operated docks.
